hello friends!

Monday, July 1

oh hello new friends! i'm so glad you stopped by to say hello:)

I'm Katie and this is my little space where I share my life!
My husband Kevin and I are currently living in Nepal, working at an aftercare home for girls rescued out of sex-trafficking.
God is teaching us so much over here, and we feel so humbled that He would call us to this work!

on this blog, we're all about taking risks and following your dreams,
because we know that God doesn't call us to an ordinary life.
We can engage in adventure wherever we are, because truly, adventure is a state of the heart...
living in expectancy and anticipation that when we pray, God will move in wild ways.
we're also about trying to live like Jesus wherever we are.

a few risks we've taken have included moving on a whim to teach English in Thailand, starting a clothing line that raises money for different organizations working in Africa, moving to Indonesia to coach basketball for a university team, living in an immigrant neighborhood to learn and build friendships with our neighbors, and packing our bags in a few months and moving to Nepal!

we're pretty ordinary people, but we serve a pretty incredible God!
I really hope we can be friends...I LOVE meeting and connecting with new people:)

below are some posts that will hopefully help you get to know us more!
please stay a while:)

much love,
katie

  2. So much adventure! I'm reading a book right now called Scarred Faith and in it, the author talks about how being a Christian means living in adventure with God. It's a lot of what you talk about here. :)
